Katie is a journalist who after a scandal in the States has come to Europe in a hope to get a new journalism job. Things don’t quite go to plan and Katie ends up interviewing for a nanny position in the household of Prince Armin. Her interviewer doesn’t think she is the right person for the job however when the children meet her they bond immediately and when she is discovered with them by Armin she is offered the job rather than being thrown out as she thought she would be!
Armin is used to only portraying the prince who always does his duty and believes that everything should be done to a schedule so that things are in control and privacy is maintained.
He has recently adopted twin daughters as their parents, his best friend, died but the girls aren’t used to him and they don’t have a proper bond yet
Katie straight talks to Armin and is honest with him about the children and what she thinks they need; his time, rather than just structure
Problem is that Katie is being blackmailed by the local tabloid paper and is being forced to feed them information. Will this tear her and Armin apart?
I enjoyed this book, it’s light and easygoing. I bonded quite well with Katie and think she is written really well. There wasn’t as much from Armin’s point of view so it was harder to get to know him but when I did I enjoyed his character
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants an easy read, perfect for the beach
