My Christmas Fake Fiancé by Linda West

My Christmas Fake Fiance Cover

Snowflakes are falling on Kissing Bridge Mountain, and Devlin is going home at last. But he can’t go home without a fiance, even if it has to be a fake one! When he meets smalltown girl, Allie, who has a Christmas crisis of her own -they strike up a deal. Soon, the fickle snow flurries of fate send them down a destined road they never expected…

Appearances aren’t everything but don’t tell Devlin that!

Allie agrees to be a fake fiancé to save her family home but she also has some strong ideas including a lot of ecological and environmental work. I enjoyed that part of the story, I learnt a lot about packaging products and Allie’s determination to save the Amazon was a big part of that

The book focused on growing up and realising who you really are, what is important to you and that nothing should stop you from being you

I loved the inspiration behind it and it pulled me in so deep that I didn’t even realise it was bed time and the kindle was dying! The writing was fantastic and flowed so easily, with lifelike characters making it fun.

There was however a butler called Jeeves, and i couldn’t get Stephen Fry out of my head when reading him (from the tv adaptation of Jeeves and Wooster), it did make for a crazy twist at least for me!

I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a love story where people are going against the odds and are determined to be themselves even when things may go against you
