The SEAL’s Baby Deal by Katie Knight

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This novella caught my attention and drew me in
Eleanor really wants to be a mum and she asks her friend David to be the father to her child. They sign a contract absolving him of any need to be involved before they set about making her pregnant
David is a SEAL and is working in Africa on a mission to prevent a country falling into civil unrest. Imagine his surprise therefore when he bumps into Ele and their daughter Rose in a cafe on the outskirts of town. It’s the first time he has seen Ele since she became pregnant and the first time he meets Rose
Eli is a free lance photographer who is in Africa to photo a rare butterfly never seen that far north before but danger lurks in the shadows and David comes to protect her and Rose, keeping them safe until they can get out of the country
I loved David, his determination to keep Ele and Rose safe came through so strongly. He might have sworn to stay away and let Ele raise Rose without his interference but he has always liked her and it’s getting harder and harder to stay away from her. Even when things are dangerous his every instinct is to protect them and he is the kind of hero that I dream of!
Ele is very independent and resents David’s involvement to start with but when things start to get dangerous she realises that he is just trying to protect her and she again finds herself drawn to him
This book is full of danger and drama and the characters are very loveable (even if at times they really annoyed me!) which kept me reading
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy their romances with a dramatic backdrop and heart stopping hero’s
