Jess is trying to win back her boyfriend, who dumped her for being boring. Jamie is trying to complete his father’s bucket list before he takes the Crown. Both of them are hiding who they truly are, and when the truth is discovered, it’s a real royal Christmess!
Jess’ best friend Molly has won a once in a lifetime trip to Kissing Bridge a remote winter sports town in Vermont. Whilst there Jess meets Jamie, a prince who is trying to fulfil his fathers bucket list before he takes the throne
I liked Jess, she is determined to get back together with her ex boyfriend who was more of an adventurous daredevil compared to her more normal life. With help from Molly she starts to learn that things may not be as bad as she feared and that actually she might actually enjoy somethings. She can be grumpy and cranky at times but she knows what she wants and how to achieve that, even if she is being stubborn and is in denial about what it is. This made her seem so much more real so she leapt off the page
I loved Jamie, his whole life has been mapped out since he was born and the trip to Vermont is his last chance to lead an almost normal life for a few days. A big part of Jamie is his duty but he also wants time to be normal and just himself. As the story goes on he becomes out of his shell more and the reader gets to see an awful lot more of his personality, each part that was revealed made me love him even more
Both Jamie and Jess pretend to be someone they aren’t when they are on holiday but even so their real personalities shine through making them fabulous characters. Some of the snow sports they did I would love to have a go with but the descriptions and the characters emotions came through making me feel like I was there too!
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a romance with amazing characters and fabulous descriptions and some unexpected drama
