A lady’s need for protection
A knight’s chance for redemption
Exiled Knight William Geraint answers only to himself. Yet, a mission to find and reunite lost heiress Lady Isabel de Clancey with her family is Will’s chance to finally atone for the torment of his past. With every rushed mile, their intense attraction becomes dangerously thrilling. He swore to protect Isabel not seduce her, but their desire for each other could threaten the redemption he’s worked so hard to achieve…
Oh my gosh, totally fabulous!
Isabel was nearly killed as a child in an ambush but she was saved by Will. Now both of them are grown up and fate has brought them together again
Isabel is a brilliant character, she has hidden from her past following a vow made to her father to keep her safe but she is aware of her duty as heiress to her families castle and even though she didn’t want to she went with Will. She is a strong and independent character who goes against the typical “Lady” of the time but this was something else that made her seem more relatable and real
Will is haunted by his past but when he is hired to return Isabel to England he goes to find her. He is an amazing character, he’s brave, determined and smart. He knows how to protect Isabel and even though she may drive him crazy she helps him to start to accept himself
This book is literally oozing with drama and is so filled with danger that I was glad to be at home and not there! There is a secret linked to Isabel’s past which puts them both in danger but also takes them on an extraordinary adventure and that journey of discovery had me totally hooked and determined to find out what it was and what would happen next
I can’t say too much without revealing spoilers but this book is one that I would recommend to those who enjoy fabulous characters and a storyline that will pull you in and not let you go
