Sebastian left Elmdale in Yorkshire when he was a teenager with his mother and brother, leaving behind Felicity but unbeknownst to him she was pregnant with their daughter Angel

Felicity has to be my favourite character in this book, she is brave and determined plus a brilliant mum to Angel. However she was hurt by Sebastian in the past and she is scared to make the same mistake again which I could totally understand and I think this brought me closer to her and helped me bond to her as a reader. Angel is totally amazing, she loves her mum and wants her to be happy and I loved the relationship between the two of them. It took me a bit longer to warm to Sebastian, whilst I could totally understand the reasons that he left and why he is back, I still struggled with his ‘money can solve anything’ attitude at times. There were times when it felt like he wanted to take over everything and that really annoyed me, Felicity and Angel are their own people and can make their own decisions. However as the story went on and as I discovered more about Sebastian, I started to like him more and more and by the end I was starting to love him as a character

This book also looks a lot at the power of the past and memories. It’s what drew them together, but also what tore them apart and seeing both Sebastian and Felicity try and work through that made them real to me but also tugged on my heartstrings and made me think of times when this has happened in the past

I loved reading Felicity and Sebastians story, leaning more about them as characters and Angel was totally amazing, she is the kind of daughter that any mother would love to have and seeing her develop and become accustomed to her father suddenly being in her life made her come alive to me

I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a romance where the main characters come back together after a long time but still can’t deny what is between them, set in an amazing location which will catch your attention from the very start
